Moritz Schneidewendt

creates experiences that are more than just entertainment. As a clarinettist and ensemble leader, he is passionate about contemporary music - he listens to the unexpected, explores new perspectives and personally tells stories of the unexpected on stage.

With his ensembles Broken Frames Syndicate, (Ensemble Prize of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation 2024), Kommas Ensemble, ensemble via nova, he stands for the diversification of musical life and wants to open up spaces for social discourse.

In close collaboration with young composers and artists from other disciplines and as a sought-after chamber musician, Moritz can be heard around the world - at the same time he writes, thinks and experiments in his Offenbach studio.
