Moritz Schneidewendt
creates experiences that are more than just entertainment. As a clarinettist and ensemble leader, he is passionate about contemporary music - he listens to the unexpected, explores new perspectives and personally tells stories of the unexpected on stage.With his ensembles Broken Frames Syndicate, (Ensemble Prize of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation 2024), Kommas Ensemble, ensemble via nova, he stands for the diversification of musical life and wants to open up spaces for social discourse.
In close collaboration with young composers and artists from other disciplines and as a sought-after chamber musician, Moritz can be heard around the world - at the same time he writes, thinks and experiments in his Offenbach studio.

We are dedicated to the interpretation of contemporary chamber music.Our projects include electronics, improvisation, scenic elements and light installations that are integrated into new concert formats. We particularly enjoy performing premieres and therefore collaborate closely with composers. In this way, we cultivate a broad repertoire of new works dedicated to us.
Since 2016, we have been playing in the same instrumentation - flute, clarinet, accordion, violin and violoncello. Our own concert series at the Erfurt Kunsthalle REFLEXIONEN - CO|:N:|ECT - TRANSFORM - FUSION, however, seek contact with other musicians. We have realised projects with ensembles such as Ensemble Mosaik, Black Pencil (NL), NeoQuartet (PL), Pluto's Tide Dance Company, Good Mori (KOR), UMS'n JIP (CH) and the jazz musician Wolfgang Lackerschmidt.
Regularly we perform on international stages and at festivals. Some of our highlights have been trips to Seoul and Daegu, London, Italy, Switzerland, Gdansk or Barcelona.
